Introduction
I’ve always wanted a space on the internet that’s completely mine — free from distractions, ads, and algorithmic chaos. That’s why I finally decided to build my own blog.
In this post, I’ll share what motivated me to create this blog, how I built it, and what I plan to share here in the future.
My Motivation
Over time, I realized that platforms like Medium, Hashnode, or Dev.to are great — but they all come with limitations:
- You don’t own the platform
- Your content lives under someone else's domain
- Customization is minimal
I wanted to change that.
What I Wanted
When I started this blog, my goals were simple:
- 🧠 Share my learnings (especially in tech, gaming, frontend dev etc.)
- 💡 Build an audience
- 📢 Promote my projects and products
- 💼 Showcase my skills to potential employers/clients
How I Built It
I used:
- Next.js App Router for modern, server-first performance
- MDX support via Contentlayer for writing content
- Tailwind CSS for styling
- Pliny for newsletters, comments, analytics & search
- Vercel for hosting
It’s super fast, responsive, SEO-friendly, and gives me full control over everything.
What to Expect
Here’s what you can expect from this blog moving forward:
- 🧑💻 Frontend dev tutorials (React, Next.js, TypeScript)
- 💭 Personal thoughts on tech trends
- 🕹️ Gaming content — reviews, news, and thoughts
- 💻 Tech reviews — honest takes on gadgets, software, and tools
- 🎮 Maybe even some gameplay commentary or creator tips
Final Thoughts
This blog isn’t just another side project. It’s my digital home. If you’re thinking about starting a blog — do it. You’ll learn a lot, and who knows, it might just open doors for you.
